Sore Lip’Em All operates on an honor system. We believe that when you reserve a trip, you genuinely intend to go fishing, and we are happy to hold that date for you. Once a trip is confirmed, however, we turn away other guests who ask to fish that same day.

We understand that illness, family emergencies, travel problems, and unexpected circumstances happen. If you are uncertain or beginning to lean toward canceling, please communicate with us at least seven days in advance whenever possible.

Customer cancellations made within seven days of the trip will be handled fairly on a case-by-case basis.

The guide reserves the right to delay, relocate, shorten, or cancel a trip when weather, river conditions, or other circumstances make it unsafe. A poor forecast alone does not automatically cancel a trip; David will evaluate the conditions and communicate any necessary changes.

When Sore Lip’Em All cancels a trip before it begins, there is no charge, and we will work with you to find another date. If weather or another unexpected circumstance forces a trip to end early, the final price will generally be prorated to reflect the time missed. Unusual situations will be handled fairly on a case-by-case basis.

We choose the launch and meeting location based on current water conditions and where we believe we can provide the best available fishing experience that day. That flexibility allows us to adjust rather than being tied to the same boat ramp for every trip.

Your exact meeting time and location will normally be sent within 48 hours of the trip through a Google Maps pin. Guests who are uncomfortable navigating to an unfamiliar access can arrange to meet David at a nearby landmark and follow him to the boat ramp.

There is no single best season for everyone. Each part of the year offers a different experience, and the right time depends on the weather you prefer, the amount of fishing pressure you are comfortable with, and what you hope to accomplish.

Winter offers the lightest fishing pressure and some of the quietest days of the year. It is sometimes possible to spend most of a day without seeing another boat. Fishing can still be productive, but temperatures may be cold and water levels are often low.

Spring brings warmer weather, increasing stocking numbers, and actively feeding trout. It is one of the most popular times to fish, but changing weather, high water, and increased fishing pressure can affect the trip.

Summer typically brings some of the heaviest trout stocking and relatively consistent seasonal patterns. It also brings heat and the highest fishing pressure. Trips often begin between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m., and half-day trips are usually the most comfortable option during July and August.

Fall can provide cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and some of the most pleasant scenery of the year. Fishing pressure may remain fairly high, water levels are often low, and weather and river conditions can vary considerably.

For a convenient half-day on the Little Red, summer can be an excellent choice when paired with an early start. Anglers planning several full days on the White River, especially with larger trout as a goal, may want to consider late winter through spring.

We provide the boat, rods and reels, Trout Magnet and D2 Jig tackle, bottled water, and light snacks. You do not need to bring fishing equipment unless there is something of your own you would like to use.

Guests are responsible for obtaining any required Arkansas fishing license and trout permit. Dress for the forecast, and bring layers during cooler parts of the year. Polarized sunglasses are strongly recommended because they reduce glare and can make it possible to watch trout follow and strike a jig.

You are welcome to bring additional food and nonalcoholic drinks, and there is room in the boat for a small cooler or personal bag.
