Guided Fishing Trips On Little Red River

Home Water

The Little Red River starts below Greers Ferry Dam in Heber Springs and runs cold and clear for about 30 miles. It is our home water, and we are deeply invested in protecting the river and its trout fishery for the future.

The river’s generally slower flows, quiet setting, and room to spread out create a relaxed fishing experience. On many days, we see few—or even no—other anglers. It is a great choice for families and friends, as well as anglers looking for a half-day trip. The Little Red is also within day-trip distance of Little Rock and Memphis.

How We Fish

Sore Lip’Em All specializes in ultralight jig fishing with the Trout Magnet and D2 Jig. We plan each trip around the water conditions and your goals. That may mean catching plenty of rainbow trout, learning a new technique, or jig fishing for wild brown trout.

We often fish a Trout Magnet below a bright float and drift it through seams, shoals, and tailouts. We also use D2 Jigs to work key areas and target wild brown trout.

We will teach you how to control depth, choose a casting angle, manage the drift, spot a strike, and make small changes that improve your presentation. Our goal is not only to help you catch trout, but also to teach you a method you can use on your own.

Comfortable:

We fish from custom 21-foot  Supreme riverboats with jet motors. These boats are stable, roomy, and able to run through shallow water. They allow us to cover more of the river and reach places that may receive less fishing pressure.

We do not launch from the same ramp every day. We choose the section that offers the best conditions for your trip. Guests may fish while sitting or standing. When conditions allow, we can also use the boat to reach areas suitable for wade fishing.

What is included:

We provide the very best rods, reels, and all other tackle you would need. You may bring your own gear, but you do not need to.

Water and light snacks are included on every trip. Full-day trips also include a simple lunch.

Each angler is responsible for obtaining the required Arkansas fishing license and trout permit.

Whether you want a relaxed half-day, a family outing, an instructional trip, or a full day chasing wild brown trout, the Little Red offers a peaceful experience on a river we are proud to call home.

Little Red River Reviews

Our men’s group at church started a yearly trip to the Little Red more than five years ago. Since we are traveling from Huntsville, Alabama, we need to plan far in advance and can’t wait until there are perfect river conditions to fish. Because of this we have encountered a wide range of river conditions–from very low to very high and muddy–but Lowell and his guides always put us on the fish. No one knows the river better than they do and it keeps us coming back year after year.
